Kīpuka
A Kīpuka is an island forged by fire when the lava flows over the hills of Hawaii. These islands become their own ecosystems and are known to have unique plant and animal life while being entirely surrounded by lava. Kīpukas are a beautiful example of thriving life surrounded by destruction. A hope in the darkness. This hope is what we want to bring to you through Kīpuka Coffee & Plant House.

Our Story
The journey began when we moved to South Carolina from Colorado, our home state, where the cold winters, high altitude, and dry climate makes it difficult for beginners to master the art of growing plants. Once we moved to South Carolina, we were in awe of how easily plants grow in this environment. The high humidity, low altitude, and the bright light provides the perfect environment to grow plants.
After adding a variety of beautiful plants to our home and experiencing the joy they brought, we knew we wanted to share our experience with others. We want to create an environment where other plant and coffee lovers can enjoy a quality cup of coffee and even bring home a plant of their choice! This brings us to our future vision: to open doors to a brick and mortar store.

Our Coffee
We partner with West End Coffee Roasters. They have been around since 1992 and are one of the oldest and largest specialty coffee roasters in the Carolinas. Their coffee beans are rich with natural flavors and freshness is guaranteed. The beans are roasted only two days before shipment to our local business. We love West End’s coffee and we hope you do as well. Enjoy!
Pour Over
Our unique pour over coffee is made with the Brazillian Peaberry blend. It is smooth and aromatic with chocolate and berry notes.
Cold Brew
This coffee blend is a delight. It has deep chocolaty notes along with nutmeg, spices, and a light fruitiness to it. Perfect for our delicious and fresh cold brew.
Plants
Our plants are all local to South Carolina and Florida! We have a huge variety each week at Soda City Market and we try to always have something new. We take requests, so if you let us know what you’re looking for, we will try our best to have your plant by the following week! Enjoy our beautiful and fresh selection. We hope you’ll love them all like we do!
